Future Bodies' Mangosteen Extract
The World's First Xanthone Concentrate!

Mangosteen Extract fights free Radicals.
Free Radicals cause illness and diseases like cancer.

Xanthones are a biologically active compound of Super Antioxidants that are found in the Mangosteen fruit. The human body produces free radicals during everyday life. Free radicals are very unstable and react quickly with other compounds. Once formed, free radicals can start a chain reaction of cell damage finally resulting in death of the cell. Antioxidants are natural chemicals found in foods (especially fruits and vegetables) that help to protect the body's cells from the harmful effects of free radicals.

Xanthones are a class of chemical compounds, similar to vitamins, in that Xanthones help the body's cells to function correctly and optimally. Xanthones are a unique biologically "active" compound. Active means they couple with other molecules and become very beneficial to the systems of the body. They enter the cell wall with antioxidants and can kill intracellular bacteria before it has a chance to affect the cell's DNA.

Queen of Fruits Aided Healers for Centuries

Garcinia mangostana L. is known as the "Queen of Fruits." For centuries, the traditional medical healers of India, China, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam have employed Mangosteen for its health benefits.  The fruit is 2-3 inches in diameter. A thick reddish-purple rind covers the aril, or pulp, which is segmented like that of an orange.

Medicinal History: Dried fruits have been used medicinally throughout Asia for centuries. The sliced and dried rind's powders are administered to treat dysentery. Made into an ointment, it is applied on eczema and other skin disorders.  The rind decoction is taken to relieve diarrhea, cystitis, gonorrhea, and gleet. It is applied externally as an astringent lotion. A portion of the rind is steeped in water overnight and the infusion given as a remedy for chronic diarrhea in adults and children. Filipinos employ a decoction of the leaves and bark as a febrifuge and to treat thrush, diarrhea, dysentery and urinary disorders. In Malaya, an infusion of the leaves combined with unripe banana and a little benzoin is applied to the wound of circumcision. A root decoction is taken to regulate menstruation. A bark extract, called "amibiasine," has been marketed for the treatment of amoebic dysentery.

There are 200 known Xanthones and over 40 are found in the Mangosteen fruit. Of those 40, it is important to note 37 are in the pericarp or rind.

Xanthone compounds have so far been found to exhibit
the following activities and actions:

• anti-viral                                 • anti-fungal
• anti-cancer                             • anti-inflammatory
• anti-ulcer                                • anti-bacterial
• anti-tumor                              • anti-allergic
• anti-microbial                         • anti-rhinoviral
• anti-hepatoxic

Important Elements in Mangosteen Extract:
40 Xanthones                                 Tannin
Alpha & Gamma Mangostin                 Catechins
Anthocyanin                                   Polysaccharides
Polyphenols                                    Stilbenes

A question that we are being asked constantly:
"If 99% of the xanthones are in the rind, will drinking a commercial Mangosteen juice preparation like "Xango" be helpful?"

A mangosteen expert, Dr. Templeman, wrote (In the X factor): "The entire fruit contains xanthones, however the Pericarp (Rind) of the fruit contains the xanthones in the highest concentrations." The most effective way to take in Xanthones is from the Mangosteen Extract product by Future Bodies. It has been prepared with the proper drying method and concentration.  The benefits of such a product are assurance of a high concentration of xanthones, and the proper absorption without the sugar and excess carbohydrates of the "Xango" juice. Future Bodies' Mangosteen Extract™ is the first xanthone concentrate on the market. There is currently no other known encapsulated Mangosteen extract in the world.

We don't consider mangosteen fruit juices competition for this reason:
Juices such as Xango are diluted with other inexpensive ingredients

Let's look at their ingredients label: Reconstituted garcinia mangostana juice from whole fruit.  Apple juice concentrate, pear juice concentrate, grape juice concentrate, pear puree, blueberry juice concentrate, raspberry juice concentrate, strawberry juice concentrate, cranberry juice concentrate, cherry juice concentrate, citric acid, natural flavor pectin, sodium benzoate.

How can you be sure the antioxidant supplement you take actually has the potency you need? There is a test called ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity). The higher the ORAC rating of an antioxidant, the greater its ability to quench free radicals and their associated damage.

It is shocking that most Americans are taking in only about 1200 ORAC units daily.
